April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of our Volunteer in Person (VIP) volunteers. The VIP Volunteer System plays a vital role in connecting dedicated individuals with schools and programs that benefit from their time and talents.
This week and next, Walla Walla Public Schools' 5th graders are making memories under the beautiful skies at YMCA Camp Dudley near White Pass! Students from Prospect Point, Walla Walla Online, and Green Park enjoyed their Outdoor School experience this week, while students from Edison, Berney, and Sharpstein will head to camp early next week.
These materials are available to view in person at the district office starting on Monday, April 21 through Thursday, May 1.
Early dismissal days are an opportunity for staff to participate in professional development opportunities to support student learning.
New Superintendent Dr. Ben Gauyan is in Walla Walla this week to begin his superintendent transition planning.
This spring elementary students across the school district will have an opportunity to compete against each other in soccer thanks to the school district’s levy funds and grant support from the district’s 21st Century Afterschool Program. The co-ed soccer program, for 4th and 5th grade students, begins April 28th and continues through May 29th.
Wednesday, April 16th - Edison Spring Resources Night! From 5:30-7:00 pm we will have crafts and games for students to do while parents will be able to connect with 22+ local resources and agencies. Just some of the organizations and are: Akin Family Services, YMCA, BMAC, Walla Walla Rights Coalition, Yakima Valley Farmworkers Clinics, Sonrisas Pre-School, Friends of Children in Walla Walla and many more!

Saturday, April 19th - Edison Beautification Day! From 9:00-11:00 am we will meet here at our campus to get the outside ready for the spring. Bring your rakes, gloves, brooms, and gardening tools to help us get our campus looking beautiful for the new season!
There is NO SCHOOL for all students April 7-11 for Spring Break 2025. Classes resume Monday, April 14.
